When I was woken up this morning by a crazy person who wanted to do a road trip to Calais, I thought hey why not. A four hour drive each way meant we had at most four hours to waste in Northern France, not much I thought but better than spending another routeless Sunday at home. After washing my face and a quick change of clothes we were off into the sunrise - I happily discovered along the way that Winter Time was in effect, we had an extra hour added to our day in Calais.
